Article Title: American Race Cars Customers Enjoying Success in 2011

Millbury , OH : Last weekend brought a lot of success for the American Race Cars team, as the Super Comp final round at the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk , OH was an all-American Race Cars affair. Nick Folk earned the victory in his Dart Machinery backed American Dragster, defeating the B’Laster American Dragster of Sherman Adcock, Jr. In addition to their success, American Race Cars co-owner Mark Horton drove Jim Hughes’ Corvette Roadster to the victory in Super Gas!

American Race Cars would like to take this opportunity to congratulate several ARC customers on their success early in the 2011 campaign. Nick Brener has enjoyed success in NHRA Top Dragster competition, as he took runner-up honors at the LODRS events in Dallas , TX and Belle Rose, LA respectively. On the IHRA side, Stacy Hall recently earned the Top Dragster title at the Division 9 Pro-Am event at Dunn-Benson Dragway. Steve Corker has already enjoyed a pair of IHRA Quick Rod victories in his American Dragster this season, earning the TOC Qualifier title at Piedmont Dragway and a Pro-Am victory at Dunn-Benson. Scott Barker drove his gorgeous American Top Dragster to a victory at the IHRA Division 4 Pro-Am at Dallas raceway, while Pat Martin claimed the Quick Rod trophy at the Division 3 Pro-Am at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.

American customers have been tearing up the track in big dollar bracket competition as well. Donnie Brown drove his American Dragster to a $12,000 windfall at the Ultimate 64 Shootout at Edgewater Sports Park . Brian Folk, Nick’s brother, drove his American Dragster to a runner-up finish in the “Run for a Dragster” shootout at the K&N Spring Fling in Bristol , TN. Brian Hughes earned the $10,000 top prize at the Mega Bucks event in Tulsa , OK on Memorial Day Weekend. Longtime American customer Luke Bogacki has driven his machine to a pair of runner-up’s; one at the Tenn -Tuck Triple Crown event at Beech Bend Park , and another at a $5,000-to-win event at I-57 Dragstrip. Chris Reynolds took runner-up honors in a $10,000 event at Numidia Raceway, and Jeff Strickland came in second in a $5,000 event at I-22 Motorsports Park.
